I moved to san diego in july to pursue my dream, comics, and I'm still unemployed. I have been trying, everyday on craigslist. That gets old fast, believe me. But the good thing about being unemployed and single in a new city is I can work on my portfolio with very little distraction and a very slimming diet. The cons: bad posture, no money, no girlfriend, and on the verge of bad hygiene habits. Those cons may seem to out weigh the pros but I don't think so. My portfolio is looking better and not even a week after sending off some samples I've finished 3 pages in 4 days, I took one day to go to the mall and apply every where that was hiring for the holidays. It may seem bad to 'normal' people, but you guys here understand right? If anyone is looking for an inker checkout my gallery.
